Beyond the Stage: EnjoyGalaxy Lights Up WorldSkills Shanghai 2026
2026年10月9日From Viper’s Venom to an Arena Full of Light
At the VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026 Opening Ceremony, EnjoyGalaxy brought the game’s visual world into the audience with 13,000 wireless LED Torches and 48 illuminated Spheres. Across live music, choreography and player entrances, our products turned the stands into a display surface and placed light directly in the performers’ hands.
- Live video input: POSSIBLE’s visuals played across the audience in real time.
- 13,000 Torches: audience lighting carried venom, ice, auroras and flames across the stands.
- 48 Spheres: handheld illuminated props became part of the choreography.
Live Video Turns the Audience into Viper’s Toxic Swamp
Working with POSSIBLE, we used EnjoyGalaxy’s live video input function to transform the audience seating into a toxic swamp inspired by Viper, the VALORANT agent. Green venom spread from the stage through the stands, while a giant snake appeared and disappeared in the mist.
The live feed carried POSSIBLE’s visual content onto the EnjoyGalaxy audience display in real time. Each Torch contributed a point of light to the larger image, allowing the snake and drifting venom to move across the crowd as part of the same scene.
48 Spheres Bring Light into the “Die For You” Choreography
During “Die For You”, 48 EnjoyGalaxy Spheres accompanied the dancers’ movements. Held and moved as part of the choreography, the glowing spheres suggested energy gathering in the performers’ hands.
Here, the lighting worked on a more intimate scale. The Spheres drew attention to gestures and poses, making the light part of the movement itself.
13,000 Torches Create Ice, Auroras and Sunrise
As Nana Ouyang took the stage, 13,000 EnjoyGalaxy Torches formed an arena-wide scene of ice walls and icy mist. The audience display gave the performance a surrounding landscape, extending its cold atmosphere into the stands.
With Grabbitz’s entrance, the scenery shifted to auroras stretching across the audience. Later, the colours warmed into the glow of sunrise. Using the same Torch installation, the production could move between these distinct environments throughout the musical performance.
“If The Sun Burns Out Tonight”: An Audience Divided in Black and White
For “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight”, the theme song of VALORANT Champions Shanghai 2026, the audience display took a different direction. A concept built around opposing black and white halves divided the seating into two sharply contrasting sides.
Instead of filling every seat with colour, the sequence used darkness and illumination to define the composition. The clear division across the stands gave the song’s visual concept an arena-scale presence.
Flames Across the Stands for the Player Entrances
For the player entrances, flame imagery rose across the audience display, changing the atmosphere once again. The Torches filled the stands with the appearance of surging fire, building anticipation as the players arrived on stage.
The player entrance lighting show gave the audience installation another role: marking the transition from the opening performances to the competition.
We thank Patrick Carroll for his trust and support throughout the project, and Riot Games, Done+Dusted, POSSIBLE, Ogle Hog Ltd and the entire production team for their collaboration.
