12,000 Apollo Lights Bring Football’s Dreams to Life Across the Stands
At the UAE President’s Cup opening ceremony, football’s story unfolded across the stadium audience. 12,000 EnjoyGalaxy Apollo wireless pixel lights transformed the seating into a giant moving canvas, bringing the spectators into the heart of the ceremony. With smooth 30fps video playback, the display connected the scale of a major sporting occasion with a story of childhood, heritage and ambition.
- 12,000 Apollo wireless pixel lights formed a stadium-scale audience screen.
- 30fps video playback brought fluid movement to the visual storytelling.
- A giant football led into a sequence featuring two Arab boys playing football.
- Synchronised wireless control and pixel mapping made the audience part of the stage.
A Football Story Told by the Crowd
A super-sized football appeared across the stands, placing the game itself at the centre of the opening celebration. The display then moved into a storytelling sequence featuring two Arab boys playing football — a scene connecting childhood dreams with heritage and the future of the sport.
Presented through thousands of lights among the spectators, the story took on a shared dimension. The crowd became the surface on which it unfolded, bringing a familiar love of football into the ceremony’s grand visual design.
The Audience Becomes the Stage
Each Apollo light formed a pixel in the larger picture. Through stadium-scale pixel mapping and synchronised wireless control, 12,000 light points worked together to carry imagery across the seating.
This extended the ceremony’s visual space into the stands. Spectators became part of the scene they were watching, with the football story surrounding them and connecting different sections of the stadium in one display.
Smooth Motion at 30 Frames per Second
Football is a story of movement, and fluid playback helped bring that movement to life. At 30 frames per second, the Apollo audience screen presented the video sequences with smooth motion and flowing transitions, supporting the progression from the giant football to the boys at play.
Coordinating the light points as one screen allowed the imagery to read as a moving scene across the crowd. The result combined the scale of stadium lighting with the expressive possibilities of video, helping the audience follow the story as it developed.
A Shared Celebration of the Game
At the UAE President’s Cup, EnjoyGalaxy helped make the audience an integral part of the opening ceremony. The combination of 12,000 wireless pixels, fluid video playback and football-led storytelling brought the stands into the performance, celebrating the dreams and connections that make the game meaningful.
