At the Hangzhou Asian Games Opening Ceremony, ENJOYGALAXY wireless lighting extended the performance from the central stage across the entire stadium.

A total of 30,000 Apollo lights, 4,000 Starbands and 660 LED Tubes were used in different parts of the ceremony. Each product played a distinct role while remaining connected through the ENJOYGALAXY control system.

30,000 Apollo Lights Across the Audience

Around 30,000 EnjoyGalaxy Apollo lights were installed and secured directly onto the audience seats. This fixed-seat installation kept every light in the correct position and allowed each Apollo to function as an accurately placed wireless pixel.

Individually controlled, the Apollo lights produced large-scale colours, patterns, waves and animated effects across the seating area. Instead of simply illuminating individual spectators, they transformed the entire audience into a stadium-sized display.

The production involved a full month of continuous rehearsals. During this demanding preparation period, the Apollo units required only one battery change, reducing maintenance work while supporting both rehearsals and the live opening ceremony.

4,000 Starbands Create a Moving Sea of Stars

During the entrance of the Asian Games flame, 4,000 performers wearing EnjoyGalaxy Starbands moved around the stadium. The illuminated Starbands travelled with their bodies, creating a flowing ring of stars around the field.

The moving Starbands were synchronized with the Apollo lights across the audience seating and the visuals on the main screen. Together, they merged into a shimmering sea of stars that filled the stadium and accompanied the flame into the ceremony.

660 LED Tubes Connect Performance and Technology

In another major performance segment, 660 EnjoyGalaxy Pixel Tubes were integrated with the Apollo audience lights, performer choreography and the wider stage design.

The wireless Pixel Tubes worked together with AR visuals, mesh screens, floor projections and live dance. Physical lighting and digital imagery moved as one, presenting the energy of sport through technology, movement and performance.
